How many guests does your venue allow?
Our chapel fits 16 seated guests plus the couple + officiant for a total of 19. For bigger weddings, your ceremony would take place outside with our chapel as your backdrop. A total number of 34 (this includes the couple + officiant) are welcome at each event. Photographers are excluded. However, if they are part of your guest list, they must be added to the guest count. No additional guests may be added.
Is Wolfgate for ceremonies only or can we have a reception as well?
You have the option for ceremony only or you can add a cake reception following your ceremony. Please see our packages for pricing and contact us for more details.
What is a cake reception?
A traditional approach to an intimate, relaxed reception where guests are served with cake, drinks and light bites. Given the timeframe of cake receptions, we do not allow alcohol. All food must be prepared offsite and brought by you or a caterer.
Can we have dancing and music?
Cake receptions generally do not have dancing. However, during your ceremony, brides/grooms can handpick their music and send it to our wedding coordinator. All music is played through Spotify. You are welcome to have first dances. Any special requests, please speak to our wedding coordinator.
How do I book, when are you available and what are your hours?
You can contact us however you'd like! We do, however, recommend contacting us by phone or by sending a message via Facebook. We require a phone consultation prior to any bookings to go over all the details with you, a 50% down deposit and contract signing. Wolfgate is booked seasonally, June- November. Our hours of operation are 11am-5pm Mon-Sun.
Do you have a rain plan?
Clear umbrellas are supplied to all guests, and our outdoor reception area is undercover.
Is Wolfgate handicap accessible?
Wheelchairs are not recommended given our wooded setting. However, we’re more than happy to assist guests to the ceremony site if needed. It is a short walk with a small incline (330ft) from our parking site.
Is there a bathroom on-site?
Yes!
Are we allowed to do a rehearsal prior to our wedding?
Yes! We highly recommend doing a ceremony rehearsal prior to your ceremony. This allows you the opportunity to practice walking down the aisle to the music of choice and see our space to envision your special day. The earlier you schedule a ceremony rehearsal, the better chances of getting your preferred date and time. Most rehearsals take place Mon-Thur. If weekends are your only option, we will do our very best to accommodate you. Please bear in mind that most of our weddings are scheduled for weekends. If you're traveling out of state to have your wedding with us, we will come up with a plan prior to your wedding.
Can we get ready on-site and is our wedding party allowed with us?
We have a small cabin for the bride to change and/or have hair and makeup done. It is heated and cooled. The cabin is very small and will only accommodate two people at a time. Currently, we do not have accommodation for the wedding party. They will need to come prepared.
